There has been almost no Detroit Red Wings news lately because of the NHL lockout. If it were a normal season, the Red Wings would already have started training. The players want the same amount of money and owners want to give them less money because of how much money the NHL loses to the players big contracts. They have been locked out for 12 days and it looks like they aren't even close to coming to a new deal. The NHL might be lost for the 2004-2005 season and for who knows how long after that.
