10/16 Notes

The 13th ranked Michigan Wolverines beat unranked Illinois 30-19. The big story of this game was of how Michigan's Mike Hart ran for 234 yards and a touchdown on 40 carries. Hart is just a freshman and this was an incredible performance. Hart really led the comeback for the Wolverines in the second half when they outscored Illinois 20-2. Michigan now looks to next Saturday when they go on the road against a very strong Purdue team.

The Detroit Lions will play the Green Packers on Sunday at home. The Lions are 3-1 and the Packers are a suprising 1-4. This is a great chance for the Lions to start the season 4-1 for the first time since 1991.

C'mon Ref! has re-entered itself into the blogging world. If you remember, C'mon Ref was a sports blog that was based on Detroit Sports just like mine. It has a new template now and so far it looks pretty good. Head on over and check it out.
